APERTURE SHOWER HEAD
Municipal water supplies came dangerously close to being exhausted in many cities in the summer of 2008. Broad calls were made to reduce water usage, announcing a severe need for behavioral change.
The Aperture showerhead is designed to assist this change in behavior, by informing the bather and allowing them to take control of their water consumption. The amount of water flowing through the showerhead is measured and displayed. A flow regulator allows the bather to reduce the water consumed per minute. An internal mini-hydroelectric generator powers the electronic display.
